Incineration

Why is TATA refusing to disclose details of the new fuel that it intends to burn in the Lostock incinerator to the public?

Emails have been sent to TATA during the past month asking for composition data on the fuel that it intends to use to achieve the 50% increase in output that it is claiming. The response has been evasion and straight refusals.

This information is vital for the community to understand the implications for air quality and risks to public health and has rightfully raised suspicion that TATA is hiding something because it might jeopardize its current planning application.

There is still time to register your objection to TATA’s application by emailing the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy at: beiseip@beis.gov.uk and/or Cheshire West and Chester Council (CWAC) at: planning@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk quoting ref. number 18/03025/AAC

If you are worried about the potential effects the mysterious fuel may have on you and your family or your neighbours please act now before it is too late.
